Edina Montessori School, Inc. was founded in 1963. After 16 years at Wooddale Lutheran Church, the school moved to the Edina Community Centerin Fall 1982. In 1997 the school moved to its current premises.

The Edina Montessori School Board is responsible for the overall operation of the school. Each parent contributes some of his or her time and expertise to assist with the practical details of the operation.
